Olga Sears (1906 - 1990) Olga Sears was born in 1906 in Framingham, Massachusetts and was the daughter of a shoemaker. She studied art at the New England School of Design and the Museum of Fine Arts School in Boston, as well as studying privately with Charles Woodbury, Margaret Jordan Patterson and George Demetrios. In 1939, she started teaching art herself, taking positions at various schools. In 1940, she went to Monhegan Island, ME for the first time. She maintained a studio in Rockport, MA and was a frequent exhibitor at the Rockport Art Association. Sears died in 1990.
