Mary Stuard Townsend Mason   (1886 - 1964)  Mary Mason was born in 1886 in Zanesville, OH.  She studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts with W. M. Chase and Hugh Breckenridge.  She was also the winner of many awards at the Academy.  Her specialty was painting landscapes, mostly of Monhegan Island, and gardens.
