Hope Smith

(1879 –  )

Hope Smith was born in 1879 in Providence, RI.  She was taught by Charles Woodbury and William Merritt Chase and also attended the Rhode Island School of Design.  She was a member of the Providence Art Club, Society of Independent Artists, and the South County Art Association (RI).  She exhibited with those groups as well as at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
